Ironic

It's been long overdue since my last post. I've been thinking about how ironic it is how I mentioned that "anything is possible" in the summer. My words remain true, I had the best summer a girl could ask for. This post is just a little prelude and teaser for what is to come. Happy fall. I hope you're staying warm, or cool (this weather is weird). Current obsessions: Alexander Wang CocoDuffel (STILL) & Shearling lined boots (NOT uggs).

Recently...

I've been adding things to my bucket list. I'm feeling like as often as I add something, I cross something off. As of late: Got a ride home from a couple of hot police officers (they even turned the lights on for us), got a tarot card reading (a load of you know what), and got invited to party with Christan Audiger (my arch nemesis).

It's summer; my favorite season. Anything is possible and just remember....EVERYTHING looks better when you're tan.

Current Muse

Charlotte Kemp Muhl. Often photographed with Sean Lennon (her beau), at fashion shows, in mags, and always dressed to perfection. JEALOUS.
Wishing I could pull this off.
I like her BUT I think I like her Proenza tie dye skirt & mesh inset tank (not sure who makes it)more.

Coachella...

best weekend ever.

As far as fun goes I give it a 10.
The music was amazing, the lights we're unreal, and everything just seemed perfect. Oh and I obviously won't forget to mention the fact that my 5 gal pals and I got asked to go BACKSTAGE and party @ Tiesto's trailer after he performed. What makes the story even better is that we were also offered to go hang out with Muse in their trailer but we all know what that means...Unfortunately we said no thanks and just hung out at Tiesto's trailer with the white picket fence around it and called it a night/morning (or whatever you want to call 4am). If that wasn't the best weekend ever, then I don't know what is!
As far as fashion goes I give it a 7.
Didn't see anything that took my breath away. A lot of cut off shorts, tons of crochet & mesh, bandeaus, fringe, and rompers. SHOCKING.

Coachillin' (in 7 days)

Haven't written on this thang in a while (I appologize to all 5 of my blog followers). I blame my writers block on the fact that the only thing I've been able to think about for the past month is Coachella. woohoo we're only 7 days away from some of the greatest outfits, colors, and prints you've ever seen! I have 2 outfits pretty much planned, but I'm sure I'll change my mind 10 minutes before I hop into the car and shove 1000 things I'd probably never wear into my bag...Don't act like you don't do the same thing. The thought of leaving something amazing at home seriously gives me anxiety. ANYWAY, stay tuned for some good pictures next week. It's my job. Rough life, I know. SORRY! (Hi Moni) xx

THE WEDGE

Believe it or not, the wedge is back and cuter than ever! It's a definite must have for this next year. I currently have my eye on Diane Von Furstenberg's "Opal" wedge sandal and Jeffrey Campbell's "99" wedge bootie (pictured above). I keep trying to get my hands on them but other shoppers aka vulchers keep getting their talons on them before me! rude. At any rate, let me steer you in the right direction and go ahead and buy yourself some wedges. Check www.revolveclothing.com, www.shopbop.com, and www.singer22.com for a good selection. Happy shopping!

I take It back!

Sooo....JPG for Tarjay was a MISS! SORRRYYY. I picked up 2 things for myself. 1 being the shredded anchor shirt, and 2 being a striped grecian/nautical dress. I honestly got a little sick when I saw the collection in person. Tattoo printed tops & leggings and awful screened tees...YUCK. Not to mention, the fabric on everything was so scratchy and gross, kind of reminded me of those windbreaker pants (awkward). Anyway, if you didn't make it to Target and feel like you missed out, I'm here to tell you that you saved yourself from severe heartbreak. Next time Target, next time.

JPG for Target TOMORROW!

Thank G for Target (or as my Grandma would call it, Tarjay) and their collaboration with high-end designers. To be honest, it's a hit or miss but if you missed out on the Rodarte for Target collection a few months back, you should probably cry because it was pretty much amazing. You can see some of the looks on Target's website. Good luck!

Wardrobe staple

JEGGINGS! Don't you love fashion conjunctions? they're all usually a mixture of really sweet pieces too. For example, the skort (skirt/shorts), jorts (jean shorts), and now JEGGINGS (Jeans/leggings). My personal favorite are J Brand's 901 legging available here. If you're not a J Brand whore like myself than maybe you should try the Joes Jeans jeggings (say that 5 times fast). Not to mention their ad campaign is pretty sweet too (see above)...

Heart Print Everything

Heart prints are really fun way to girl up any outfit. This look may bring you back to the Full House & Clarissa Explains it all days but it's still super cute. Spring into...

FLORAL HAREM PANTS. Warning: guys DO NOT like it when we wear anything that resembles this type of style, but let's be honest here... we don't dress for guys, we dress for girls! Maybe it's the unflattering drop waist, or the fact that they make you look 2x bigger than you really are. Whatever. They're cute. Please pair with a pair of studded gladiator sandals and a simple tank. (pictured: Floral harem pants H&M spring 2010 collection)

Not just for 2.14

Lingerie. Something that most of us feel is only to be worn underneath your clothing or alone in the bedroom. Fortunately, those at Agent Provocateur and I beg to differ. There are two pieces every female should own; A corset & thigh-high stockings. In order to execute these two items without looking as though you're trying to sell yourself, you must pair each one individually with something a bit more casual. For example, try a corset top with some destroyed skinny jeans. Not only do corsets make you look super skinny, they also push the girls up...It's safe to say you can't really go wrong here. The thigh-highs on the other hand, a little more difficult to pull of but definitely not unobtainable. My advice to pull off this look would be to wear the thigh-highs in place of your average pair of tights. This look will elongate your legs and guarantee you some extra attention wherever you end up showing it off.

From my closet to yours...

Once upon a time there was a sweater that all of my friends made fun of me for purchasing... Maybe this is because it was 5 years too early to bring on the ethnic trend, or maybe it was just because they didn't see the amazingness this sweater actually had to offer! Anyway, the girls at work noticed my sweater and immediately decided to make up a similar and MUCH MUCH more affordable piece that you can find exclusively at www.heritage1981.com. I highly recommend getting your paws on a fringed sweater, whether it be "my" sweater, or an awesome vintage one. Just do it. I promise you'll wear it forever, and YES you are allowed to wear this through the summer; though it may look a bit heavy it will definitely look awesome at night paired with some denim cut off shorts...maybe Coachella? mmmhmmm. Now that I have my outfit planned you start working on yours!

Resort 2010 Obsession

Mara Hoffman's Resort 2010 swimwear collection. Check it out on www.shopbop.com. It's selling so fast it's upsetting (let's hope they get some re-orders going)! These suits are cut to perfection. The bikini's have especially scandalous bottoms that are unlike anything I've ever seen. I've never been a fan of the one-piece until I came across this collection. I can only describe these suits as being INSANE and fabulously fringed. It's about time we see some updated and exciting swimwear... I was getting bored! You can see more of this amazing, exotic, vacation inspiring look on http://www.fabsugar.com/3544404?page=0,0,10.

Got the boot

After being on the hunt for the perfect over-the-knee boot I came across Candela's leather boots. I went ahead and ordered the "Over-the-knee Pirate Boot" on Urban. I finally get them in the mail and they look worn! not to mention, a stud was missing. Can you say return? i think yes! Anyway, a genius friend of mine suggested I buy a plain pair of over the knees (Dolce Vita or Steve Madden) and take them to be studded, or better yet...do them myself! i'll let you know how they turn out. WISH ME LUCK! And for those of you thinking "what a waste of time...it's almost spring!" I say "I'm going to wear them next year too"...This I promise!

Introduction

Hi All, I've finally decided to create a blog with the intent to provide YOU with info that you'd never ever know....UNLESS you read this. Though this blog will be mostly fashion based you will often find other useful info as well. Things I'm going to include: Designers you should know about, the opportunity to buy hard to find pieces that only I came across (vintage items, when designers do a line for let's say Target or H&M, along with other special and hard to find pieces that quickly sell out), and a few ideas on how to get things done and find what you're looking for without breaking the bank. I look forward to sharing my ideas with you and wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!
